MONDAY EVENING ROSARY
OUR LADY OF PERPETUAL HELP DEVOTION
During the Marian year of 1986, parishioners
approached Father Joe Toole to start a Rosary Devotion during the
month of May, a month dedicated to Our Lady. Judy Look and Anna
Glynn were put in charge and so the Monday Evening Rosary Devotion
began.
At the end of the month parishioners decided
praying the Rosary at Church once a week was a good practice and
the devotion has continued since that time. In the Fall of 1998,
at the suggestion of Fr. Edmund Vargas, we began the devotion to
our Lady of Perpetual Help in addition to the Rosary. The entire
devotion takes 30 minutes and many prayers have been answered.
There is renewed devotion to Our Lady and the
Rosary, and the making of rosaries has become quite popular in our
parish with requests for rosaries coming from many various
sources. Praying the rosary also occurs daily after morning Mass
and everyone is invited to attend.
