The purpose of the Marriage Preparation Team at Holy Spirit, is to allow couples who are preparing for marriage, to respond fully and personally to God's call to the vocation of matrimony. The team, which consists of married couples from the parish, works to inspire engaged couples to strive to have a great marriage. By sharing what makes their marriages successful and what Catholic marriage is really all about, the program provides not only the message of God's call, but an experience of what it means to live out that call on a day-to-day basis. Each engaged couple is assigned to a "host couple" who leads them through a comprehensive program consisting of six sessions. Sessions are held in the host couple's home, each dealing with a specific area of the couple's relationship. The program concludes with a blessing by Father at the church and a celebration of the engaged couples completion of their journey.
