REMEMBRANCE DAY SERVICE:
St. Cyril School is presenting their Annual Remembrance Day Service at
9:30am on Friday, November 10th at
Holy Spirit Church. All of the community
is welcome to attend this moving ceremony honoring family and friends who
sacrificed their lives in world conflicts.
Coffee after Masses: Through our newly
established “Fellowship and Hospitality Ministry” we
will be serving coffee after Masses, beginning the first Sunday of November.
Through this Ministry, we hope and pray that people will be able to share a few
moments together, visiting with each other so that this Hospitality Ministry
will become firmly established as a ministry at our Church.
Prayers
for the sick: We encourage
parishioners to forward the names of those who are sick in their family to be
remembered in our prayers. Once we receive the names we will keep them in the
“Prayers of the Faithful” at Sunday Masses for two weekends, following which
the names will be added to the list of the sick in our weekly bulletins.
Funeral
Choir Practice: Monday,
November 6 at 7pm in the Church. Any parishioner who loves to sing is
invited to participate in this very special ministry. As we continue on our
life journey it will often be interrupted by the death of a loved one called
home. We have the opportunity to raise our
voices in grateful thanks and praise for the life of our loved one
knowing that he/she now rests with the Lord. Come and join your voice with ours.

"Do you believe in life
after death?" the boss asked one of his employees. "Yes,
sir," the new employee replied. "Well, then, that makes everything
just fine," the boss went on. "After you left early yesterday to go
to your grandmother's funeral, she
stopped in to see you!” |
