1st RECONCILIATION 2006: Special Thanks to all who assisted with the registration process last week.  Thanks, also, to those who volunteered as catechists to assist with the instruction sessions that begin this Sunday from 10:10-10:50am. We welcome parents and children as they journey towards the celebration of 1st Reconciliation with their child.

If you have a child in Gr. 4, and up, who is ready for this sacrament, but you have not yet registered him/her, pick up forms at the Church Office and join in the journey with us.

Instructional Sessions for Children and Parents are as follows: Sundays, Oct. 29, Nov. 5 & 19 from 10:10 to 10:50am between the two Sunday Masses. While attending all four sessions would be the ideal, as instruction will build on the previous session, attendance of at least two sessions is required for a child to participate in the celebration of the sacrament. If you have any questions call Virginia.

Parents & children must also attend the following:

1)   Sat., Nov. 25, 10:00 a.m. – Noon: 1st Reconciliation Retreat.

2)   Sat., Dec. 2, 10:30 a.m. – Noon: Celebration of the Sacrament of 1st Reconciliation.

FATHER JACK’S CHUCKLE CORNER

Ed was in trouble. He forgot his wedding anniversary. His wife was really angry. She told him, "Tomorrow morning, I expect to find a gift in the driveway that goes from 0 to 200 in 6 seconds  -- AND IT BETTER BE THERE!". The next morning Ed got up early and left for work. When his wife woke up, she looked out the window and sure enough there was a small box gift wrapped in the middle of the driveway! Confused, the wife put on her robe and ran out to the driveway, and brought the box back in the house. She opened it with great anticipation and found a brand new Bathroom scale. Funeral services for Ed have been scheduled for Friday.
