Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will start at 9:00am and end with Benediction at 3:00pm every Friday as of September 6th, 2006.

 

PRAY THE ROSARY:  Join the Knights of Columbus to pray the Rosary on Wednesday, September 6th at 6:30pm in the Chapel of the Annunciation.

21st Sunday In Ordinary Time

In today’s first reading, Joshua challenges the people to decide whom they will serve. Recalling God’s faithfulness to them and to their ancestors, the people declare, “We also will serve the Lord, for He is our God.” May we, too, be mindful of God’s gifts to us and renew our commitment to serve Him with grateful hearts.

 

PILGRIMAGE TO POLAND WITH ROME “Remembering Pope John Paul II.”  Our Parish will be organizing this Pilgrimage from April 12th to April 24th, 2007.  For details contact Fr. Jack at 251-3381.  Brochures are available in the gathering area or you can email the Parish Office at pilgrim@holyspiritparish.net.  A presentation on the Pilgrimage will be held at Holy Spirit Parish on Thursday, September 14th, 2006 at 7:00pm.

 

GOOD BYE:  to Maria Blote, Sharon Low and Diana Fung who have been members of this Parish and have contributed in many ways with their gifts of time and talent especially in the music ministry.

OUTDOOR MASS with Bishop Fred Henry Presiding will be held at 11:00am in Calgary, on Sunday, Sept. 24th at the Father Lacombe Care Centre Grounds (332-146 Ave. SE).

CALGARY CATHOLIC SCHOOL DISTRICT:  Please be advised that classes begin on Tuesday, Sept. 5th, 2006.  Our School District offers a half day Kindergarten program for children who will be five years old by the last day of February 2007.  The student’s birth certificate should be presented at the time of registration.  Children in grade one, must be six years old by the last day of February 2007.  For more information, visit www.cssd.ab.ca or call.
