Off the shelf in our parish library: Da Vinci Deconstructed: “When a man ceases to believe
in God, he doesn’t believe in nothing. He believes in anything.” G.K.

· The Case for
Christ. By Lee Strobel. An investigative journalist and former atheist probes with
bulldog-like tenacity the evidence that Jesus of Nazareth really is the Son
of God. This book is good armour
against the troubling new propaganda about the historical Jesus and whether he really died and rose again. (Catechetics section) · The Da Vinci
Deception—100 Questions about the Facts
and Fictions of the Da Vinci Code. By Mark Shea
(Fiction section) · Jesus Through
the Centuries: His Place in the History of Culture. By Jaroslav
Pelikan. (Theology section) · Jesus Before
Christianity. By Albert Nolan (History section) · Exploring the
Da Vinci Code. By Lee Strobel and
Garry Poole. (Catechetics section). |

T.E.A.M. PROGRAM: (Together Enabling Adults in Ministry), a lay ministry training program is offered one weekend a month for three years. The program meets the challenge of Christ who calls all of us to holiness, community and ministry; to share in His mission wherever we are and in whatever we do. TEAM also focuses on spiritual and personal growth and develops skills which enable participants to minister in the Parish, workplace or family. The next program begins in September 2006. If you are interested in TEAM call Sr. Marjorie Perkins.

FATHER JACK’S CHUCKLE CORNER |

The following letters were written by children to
their parish priests. Dear Father, Please say a prayer for our Little League team. We need God's help or a new
pitcher. Thank you. Alexander, Age 10 Dear Father, My dad says I should learn the Ten
Commandments. But I don't think I want to because we have enough rules
already in my house. Joshua, Age 10 |
